In the horary chart 5^th sub is Venus signifies as follows:

Venus is on cusp of 11^th house and in star of Saturn who is lord of 5^th deposited in 6^th house. This suggests worshiping Goddess Durga or Gayatri Mata.

In the chart Mars and Ketu are in conjunction hence worshipping Ganesha is also advisable.

Next he asked me shall I get Mantra-Siddhi?

This can be judged by 11^th sub which is Ketu.

But Ketu is in 8^th house in star of Sun who is lord of 12^th so siddhi is not possible.
